This week marks No Falls Week, a nationwide call to action to prevent falls from height — one of the leading causes of workplace injury and death.
At KTL, safety is a core value that shapes every decision we make. We were powerfully reminded of this during our recent Working at Height Safety Training Day in Manchester, featuring Jason Anker MBE.
Jason’s story hits hard. At just 24, one avoidable mistake on-site left him paralysed. But instead of letting that define him, Jason transformed his experience into a global mission for change — delivering over 3,000 talks and partnering with leaders in safety to shift mindsets and save lives.
His message?
- Safety is never optional.
- Small choices can have life-changing consequences.
- Everyone has a role in keeping each other safe.
Our CEO, Alan Hanamy summed it up perfectly:
“Safety is not just about compliance — it’s about culture, mindset, and looking out for one another.”
As we observe No Falls Week, we recommit to:
- Raising awareness of fall risks.
- Prioritising training, equipment, and safe practices.
- Building a workplace culture where speaking up about safety is always encouraged.
We reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that every team member goes home safe, every single day.
