Cardiovascular disease (CVD), including heart disease and stroke, according to the World Heart Federation, is the world’s number one killer which claims 18.6 million lives each year.

World Heart Day is celebrated annually on 29 September as a platform to unite in the fight against CVD to reduce this global disease.


This year, “Use Heart for Every Heart” by getting involved in the World’s Heart Day campaign by the World Heart Federation.

80% of premature heart disease and stroke is actually preventable by maintaining a healthy lifestyle while managing the risk factors.

  • High cholesterol

  • High blood pressure

  • Physical inactivity

  • Uncontrolled stress/anger

  • Obesity
