To effectively handle the substantial data requirements of the British Grand Prix this year, KTL implemented a 80 GHz, EBAND, high-capacity microwave link at Silverstone.
The surge in EE customer connectivity at such events including calls, messaging, image uploading, live video streaming, and contactless payments necessitated these enhancements.
The 2023 British Grand Prix, now in its 18th year took place on Sunday, July 9th. 20 of the world’s fastest drivers took on 52 laps of the famous 5.9-kilometre circuit to the delight of over 400,000 fans.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen took first place, home favourites Briton Lando Norris took second place and Lewis Hamilton took third place for his 14th podium finish. It was the first time there were two British podium winners since 1999.
