World Health Day is an annual global health awareness day held on April 7th. It commemorates the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1948 and is used by WHO to draw attention to a specific public health issue of global relevance.
This World Health Day 2026, the WHO is bringing people together under the theme “Together for Health: Stand with Science” to spotlight how science-led innovation is improving health worldwide, with a particular focus on One Health — the interconnected wellbeing of humans, animals, plants, and the environment.
Health decisions must be guided by evidence, not noise.
Turn to trusted, science-based sources to:
1. Protect your health
2. Prevent disease
3. Seek treatment and recovery
