Winning the Eco Excellence Award at the Halton Business Awards was a fantastic achievement for KTL.

Behind the award is a business-wide commitment to reducing our environmental impact and embedding sustainability into how we operate every day.
As ESG Officer Sophie Gallagher reflected:
"I couldn't quite believe it when they announced KTL as the winner, not because I didn't think we were deserving, but because the other nominees were such tough competition. I was so happy for KTL to be recognised for our environmental efforts."
Over the past number of years, we've taken significant steps to strengthen our environmental performance, including:
➡️ Monitoring Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions monthly
➡️ Investing in renewable energy through solar panels at our Naas headquarters
➡️ Enhancing our greenhouse gas reporting systems and governance
➡️ Expanding environmental awareness training across our teams
While we're proud of the progress made, we're equally focused on what comes next.
KTL has recently been approved to participate in the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), an important step in ensuring our future emissions reduction targets align with global climate goals and support our pathway to net zero.
For Sophie, the award serves as encouragement to keep pushing forward:
"Winning this award is so important because it shows that we are heading in the right direction in terms of our pathway to net zero. It has filled me with confidence knowing that our collective effort as a business is making a difference."
