Paul shares how a visit to the Army Careers Office led him to “joining the Royal Signals as an apprentice technician”, and how that experience became the foundation of his career. He admits he “didn’t really know what the Royal Signals entailed” at first but explains that it “gave [him] a good base” and that it wasn’t until he got “through the theory of the apprenticeship and the practical” that he “started developing a passion for telecoms”.
