KTL is Rapidly Expanding Acquisition, Planning and Design Services to Support Seamless Deployment




KTL continues to evolve, rapidly responding to telecommunications clients to deliver 4G/5G solutions in both urban and remote locations throughout UK and Ireland.


Over the last two years, KTL has established a highly experienced in-house acquisition and planning team, and design team. These in-house teams enable KTL to be dynamic, agile, and collaborative in its approach to delivering a wide range of services and complex solutions for clients.

KTL’S ACQUISITION AND PLANNING SERVICE

In 2018, KTL set out to provide acquisition and planning services to our clients this journey started with acquiring rights for new transmission dishes this has now developed into a new department offering acquisition and planning services to our clients for new telecom sites, upgrades or swaps to existing sites. Our greatly skilled and growing team have extensive experience drawn from a diverse range of backgrounds including ex-operator, private practice, infrastructure providers and local authority planning providing leading industry acumen. The team prides itself on the KTL approach of right first time; everybody, every time from initial instruction right through to legal access.


We work collaboratively with our clients’ in-house design team and other stakeholders for new site rollouts, client upgrades, consolidations, third party site shares and NTQ site replacement programmes, enabling delivery of best possible solutions quickly, efficiently and cost effectively.


KTL’s DESIGN SERVICE


KTL has been offering telecom design for several years. In 2019, we set up an in house highly skilled design team which is fully compliant with UK legislation and Construction Design and Management (CDM) legislation. The team has extensive knowledge of the industry based on their backgrounds working for operators, equipment vendors and other design houses. The design team is now over 20 people strong, working full time on telecoms projects ranging from new builds to upgrades. This is underpinned with an industry leading design management process including supporting principle designer activities

KTL’S TRANSMISSION SERVICE


KTL’s comprehensive transmission services cover acquisition services, transmission planning including topology, cluster planning, link planning licensing (Comrig/Ofcom) and documentation, desktop analysis, surveying (LOS, PIVs, MSVs), link Installation and commissioning, warehousing and logistics and structural analysis.


KTL’s capabilities involve in depth client data analysis utilising KTL’s own software providing the ability to mobilise rapidly whilst closely adhering to client guidelines and targets.


“Over recent years KTL has accelerated growth in the transmission service area and installed over 9,000 links between UK and Ireland, completed over 6,000 Tx Designs and over 4,000 LOSs. We take great pride in providing an end to end solution with a truly rapid response to high priority links at remarkably short notice.
