Celebrating safety excellence

We’re delighted to share that John Dempsey a long-standing member of the KTL team, has been recognised with the Suir Engineering August Safety Award.

The award was presented by Hugh Headley, Senior EHS Advisor, for John’s outstanding commitment to safety on the Batter Lane project, the construction of two tower bases—specifically for his identification of an underground electrical cable within his excavation location. This simple but critical action reflects John’s dedication to employing safe digging practices and his consistent attention to detail.

Speaking on the recognition, Raymond Foran Safety Manager at KTL Power, said: “Safety is about care, awareness, and responsibility. John’s actions are a clear example of living those KTL values on site.”

This award highlights KTL’s ongoing commitment to safe practices, recognised and validated by a trusted partner in Suir Engineering.
