Junior SHEQ Advisor
The role of the Junior SHEQ Advisor is a supporting function to the Project Teams, SHEQ Management and the Organisation. This role may suit a recent H&S Graduate. Valid work authorisation to work in Ireland is required.
Authority:
The Junior SHEQ Advisor has the authorities as detailed below to ensure that he or she is able to fulfil their role and responsibilities;

Stop any and all unsafe actions which has the potential to harm an individual or the organisation, whether this be from internal or external influences

Report to the SHEQ Manager and Project Management any identified unsafe acts in order for the appropriate disciplinary and preventative measure be implemented
Responsibilities:
The Junior SHEQ Advisor is responsible for supporting the Project team and SHEQ Team by ensuring that;

The project managers H&S planning and documentation is suitable and sufficient

Those being assigned to the program of works hold the required training qualifications to undertake the works
-
Assist in reviewing and auditing of contractor project documentation
-
Ensure the project management team adhere to the project’s health and safety / construction phase plans
-
Supporting the project management team in providing advice and guidance on operational activities
-
The project management team ensure equipment is returned for calibration as required
-
Record and report near miss events to the SHEQ Team

Assist in access and egress process
-
Undertake auditing as detailed by the organisation
-
Assist the SHEQ Team in providing information for the SHEQ trackers
-
The organisation follows in the correct order it’s Moral, Legal and Finance obligations
-
The SHEQ Manager is supported in delivering the groups SHEQ Indicatives
-
Undertake employee engagement in the form on-site training and tool box talks

Support the business in the internal ISO audit process

Provide and support the SHEQ Manager in data for monthly and quarterly reports
Role Requirements:
-
Experience in administrative roles, documentation production and digital systems
-
Experience or / and an interest in forming a career in the Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality fields

Have a keen eye for detail working on the ‘Right First Time’ ethos or the organisation
-
Be dynamic and fast paced to support the organisation within an exceptionally fast paced and exciting industry
-
Strong communicator with the ability to communicate to management and field operatives alike
