Describe your current role and core responsibilities?

As a Sr. Project Manager for KTL UK, I lead the deployment team ensuring we deliver sites to our customers, whilst remaining compliant with health and safety regulations, keeping up quality assurance standards and delivering projects within budget and on time. Some of my core responsibilities are to ensure all project activities/project teams are fully compliant with the company safety management system and relevant statutory regulations. The implementation and maintenance of relevant approved processes, procedures, health and safety and technical standards to ensure consistent requirements are achieved across departments and for clients. I perform regular client H&S reviews to ensure standards are being adhered to and any necessary improvements implemented. I am the main point of contact for any client relationship issues that may arise and I attend project/programme/client meetings, as required, to ensure effective communication across the projects.

 

What do you enjoy most about your role and the work you do?

Telecoms is a fast paced environment. It is very challenging sometimes and I think I have got used to it up to the point that now I like it. I feel privileged that I have been able to work from home, this has saved me a lot of commuting time (and money). I enjoy working with a multicultural team, which has allowed me to learn so much about different cultures and have some fun while getting the job done. 

 

Could you share a fun fact about yourself?

People usually get confused with my name and surnames and even more confused when I show my passport because I was born in Venezuela. I have Italian citizenship from my mother’s side and Arabic blood from my father’s side.

 

Outside of work, what are your hobbies and interests?

I love spending time with my wife and our little boy who is eight months old now. We go for a walk after work and on weekends to different parks that are walking distance from our home and I really enjoy it. I also like reading, especially self-help books (when I have time) and I also enjoy exercising. I have recently bought some weights and I am training at home and lastly I also enjoy playing Golf.
