The role is responsible for the leadership across Acquisition, Design & Build functions to deliver client projects on time, within budget, safely and to quality standards in line with the Clients requirements to agreed contractual SLA/KPI’s.
Job Scope
Needs to Have
-
At least 10 years’ experience in a similar position within the telecoms industry
-
Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience an advantage
-
Strong understanding of project management methodology
-
Excellent oral and written communications
-
Strong leadership & management skills in E2E programme delivery
-
Strong commercial management skills
-
Strong Client management and relationship skills
-
Strong organisational ability with experience in reporting (internal & external)
-
Proven people skills in delivery of project KPI’s and experience in customer facing role

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
-
Effective leadership and management of project teams, including the development of teams and individuals in partnership with HR and other departments
-
Ensure each project team has the necessary safety training/inductions to undertake site work
-
Hiring of resource and the implementation of the performance management system
-
Assisting and supporting the team in the implementation and recording of training
-
Manage the design, acquisition and Build Programme to ensure smooth delivery
-
Manage internal and client programme shareholder relationships and communications
OPERATIONAL
-
Implementation and maintenance of relevant approved processes, procedures, health and safety and technical standards and ensure their consistency with requirements of other departments

Management of the relevant sub-contractors, monitor performance in terms of time, cost, quality and health and safety
-
Ensure familiarity of client specifications and update and audit sites accordingly
-
Be responsible for end-to-end management of project

Undertake all necessary actions and support to facilitate achievement of delivery team targets in terms of programme, cost and quality

HEALTH & SAFETY
-
Ensure all project activities/project team are fully compliant with the Company Safety Management System and relevant statutory regulations
-
Ensure H&S standards are always met on the project (both internally and externally)

Ensure that sub-contractors performance meets the required project criteria
-
Review project H&S reports and liaise with the SHEQ Advisor/Manager to ensure that any recurring problems are rectified

ENVIRONMENT

Ensure all project activities/project team are fully compliant with all the requirements of the Environmental Management System
-
Responsible for ensuring all works are carried out in compliance with company’s environmental standard i.e. site waste disposal, materials used etc.
COMMERCIAL AWARENESS
-
Ensure thorough understanding of project commercials
-
Evaluation and Certification of relevant supplier and sub-contractor invoices
-
Responsible for project P&L account
-
Delivery of KPI’s with nominal Additional Works and stringent adherence to SHEQ protocols
-
Financial tracking ensuring realisation of invoices across deliverables, maintaining cashflow and minimising WIP
COMMUNICATION
-
Attend project/programme/client meetings, as required, to ensure effective communication across the project
