Procurement Manager
To provide commercial support to the company through end to end management of the procurement process for all procurement activity. Effectively purchase goods and services to support the business in Ireland and the UK by sourcing the right products and services, of the best quality and price, at the most appropriate time.
Responsibilities

Analyse spends on all products and services and identify areas for cost savings, better service and better supplier performance.

Develop business relationships with suppliers and stakeholders and implement the best sourcing practices.

Drive cost reduction through process improvements, supporting all developments with expected cost proposals and estimates.

Work with management personnel on annual plans and yearly projected procurements. Work with the senior management team to agree appropriate savings and targets and report these monthly or quarterly as appropriate.

Negotiate optimum commercial and operational terms of contracts.

Ensure compliance, cost savings and performance measures are established, tracked and achieved.

Develop a local procurement strategy (local category plan) with internal stakeholders which capitalises on current market conditions and challenges business requirements. Lead supplier selection and negotiations.

Support the company with complex commercial reviews and negotiations (including outsourcing deals) to identify and deliver:

Improved standards of performance and contribution from suppliers

Efficiency improvements

Appropriate remuneration models achieving an effective alignment of competitive fees and incentives for exceptional performance against targets.

Cost savings opportunities

Incremental value-add from the leading suppliers

Effectively roll out Commercial Contract Management for key suppliers and ensure that we operate in accordance with agreed contracts on an ongoing basis

Skills/Experience
-
5 years’ experience within category
-
Experienced in strategic sourcing
-
Experienced contracts negotiator who challenges the business requirements & has the ability to lead complex high value negotiations
-
Proficient financial analysis skills, Experienced in strategic sourcing and supplier management
-
Experience with the telecommunications or utilities industries desirable but not essential
-
IIPMM (or equivalent) qualification
-
Advanced excel skills
