What is your current role?

I am currently a Senior Health & Safety Advisor for KTL.

 

Describe your current role and core responsibilities?

My current role consists of engaging teams in safe working practises, auditing sites and supporting compliance throughout our fibre teams in the UK, and populating the dynamic KTL systems.

 

What do you enjoy most about your role and the work you do?

For me, I really enjoy engaging with people and influencing change in communication and safety awareness. I also enjoy getting the chance to bring people on the KTL journey whilst always remembering safety comes first. 

 

Outside of work, what are your hobbies and interests?

I was recently re-elected as a Salford City Councillor, with Executive responsibility on Culture and Sport for over a Quarter of a million residents. I work with NASA STEAMinnovation based at Goddard Space flight centre, educational outreach in Salford. I also work with Native Americans and Canadian First Nation Indians on ten metre high Totem pole restoration, to be restored  and re dedicated in Salford in 2022.
