Job Scope

The role is responsible for the co-ordination and leadership of a project team to deliver projects on time, within budget and to quality standards, under the direction of the Project manager.  

Need to have

  • Degree in relevant discipline and Project Management Accreditation desirable

  • Experience in a field based telecoms role is an advantage but not essential   

  • Good understanding of project methodology

  • Excellent oral and written communications

  • Strong organisational ability with experience in MS Project or similar project tools

  • Strong team player

Need to do


  • The effective leadership and management of project team[s], including the development of team[s] and individuals

  • Coordinate with Health and Safety to ensure the project team has the necessary safety training/inductions to undertake site work

  • Assisting and supporting the team in the implementation and recording of training


  • Implementation and maintenance of relevant approved processes, procedures, health and safety and technical standards and ensure their consistency with requirements of other departments

  • Liaise with the relevant sub-contractors, monitor performance in terms of time, cost, quality and health and safety

  • Ensure familiarity of client specifications and update and audit sites accordingly

  • Responsible for materials and plant coordination

  • Undertake all necessary actions and support to facilitate achievement of delivery team targets in terms of time [programme], cost and quality


  • Ensure all project activities/project team are fully compliant with the Company Safety Management System and relevant statutory regulations

  • Preparation of all necessary documentation e.g. H&S Plan, Site Survey checklist, Materials List (if applicable), Site Completion Pack (if applicable)

  • Ensure that sub-contractors have received appropriate safety training

  • Ensure that project team are wearing the correct and specified personal protective equipment [PPE]

  • Review safety inspections for sites and liaise with the Safety Officer to ensure that any recurring problems are rectified by the Crew Leaders



  • Ensure all project activities/project team are fully compliant with all the requirements of the Environmental Management System

  • Responsible for ensuring all works are carried out in compliance with company’s environmental standard i.e. site waste disposal and materials used



  • Ensure thorough understanding of project commercials

  • Evaluation and Certification of all relevant supplier and sub-contractor invoices

  • Delivery of KPI’s with nominal Additional Works and stringent adherence to Health and Safety/Quality protocols



  • Attend project/programme/client meetings, as required, to ensure effective communication across the project

Need to be

  • Commercially focused and able to deliver project KPI’s on time, on budget and according to quality metrics

  • Focused on ensuring delivery right first time

  • Able to understand and meet client expectations in line with project scope

  • Self-starter who can operate effectively in a dynamic and fast paced organization

  • Able to build and maintain good relationships with key project stakeholders

  • Solutions focused and process orientated
