When did you come to work for KTL? I returned to university as a mature student in 2008 to complete a BSc in Project and Construction Management, then joined KTL in 2013 as a project coordinator. A short time later I became a project manager.

 

What does your role involve? Scoping and planning projects, project governance, financial management and project delivery. At the moment, I’m helping deliver an ERP system for KTL that involves an overhaul of our internal systems and how we work across every department in the company.

 

What have been the benefits of working at KTL?  I have always felt that I had the autonomy to do my job, but with plenty of guidance and advice when and if I looked for it.

 

How would you describe the KTL culture? Our core team has been working together for a long time and that brings a family-like atmosphere to the office, whether its celebrating a birthday, a new addition to a family or supporting people through some of the tougher times in life.

 

There’s also genuine support to maintain a healthy work-life balance, and flexibility to do that. I love that I am working on projects that enable me to work from home and from the office. This allows me to keep living in Galway while furthering my career in an industry that is Dublin-centric.
