KTL begin rollout of Phase1 of MS5/6 for the Meteor Saturn Project

September 2010, KTL have completed the first round of trial sites as part of the MS5 element of the Meteor Saturn Project. These sites which are focused on the West coast of Ireland represent the first sites to be completed as part of this milestone. On this phase of Meteor Saturn KTL are responsible for the upgrading of sites to dual band capacity to include ground and tower equipment swaps.

As part of these works KTL have become the first contractors in the world to install and integrate an outdoor RBS 6102 V2.

Along with MS5, KTL are also commencing works as part of the MS6 stage of Meteor Saturn. While this stage of the project is in its early stages of development, KTL have started works on the first trial sites. This stage of the project centres on ETFMX card swaps and cutovers.
