SOLAS Overhead Powerlines Operative Training Course
SOLAS are working with employers to provide Industry led training courses for unemployed people. Laois Offaly Education and Training Board in partnership with Kerry Education and Training Board are currently offering a traineeship in Overhead Powerlines Operative. This is a 33 week course that will take 16 unemployed eligible persons and train them to work safely and competently on overhead powerlines. Certification for the course included the City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering – Overhead Lines. Trainees also receive a range of additional CSCS courses which include HIAB Cert, Mast/Tower Climber-Rescuer, MEWP Cert etc.
